No more cast

Yesterday marked a big day for Elijah. He finally got that darn cast off. I can't believe how long 6 months has been with this one arm. He still doesn't know what to do with it, but we're working on that. On this special occasion, I thought I would post a video about his progress and surgeries.

Erin and Tim -

Congratulations!!! Elijah has come a very long way and, as his parents, you have done a great job of being there every step of the way. Your video and the song with it are very moving.

It is great to see how you treat Elijah very normally between surgeries. You are very good at letting him be a little boy while dealing with all that must be done to help him.

The lessons you are learning as you walk this valley will serve you well through life:
God is always in control - no matter how out of control the situation seems.
God holds us in His arms through the deepest, darkest times.
Praising the Lord is a daily event - living life to its fullest every day, in spite of circumstances, is a form of praising the Lord.
Even the most unimaginable, difficult circumstances can have wonderful results for us and bring glory and honor to God.

You are both doing all of the above as you go through life with Elijah. May the Lord continue to bless you, keep you in His arms and give you daily strength in every moment.
