DATENIGHT

I love date nights. Mostly because they are few and far between, but when you get them.. they are such a recharge of spirit and batteries. God has blessed us with an amazing place of work that occasionally and totally randomly gives us gift certificates. About 2 months ago, we got a $40 gift certificate to C.R. Gibbs and were told to "go out on the town". After my bff Jenny graciously offered to watch my bundle of joy, we were set to go.

The food was awesome (I especially liked the complimentary shrimp) and just getting away to a place with all adults was nice. But the conversation was the best. When my hubby and I get away we try not to talk about what is bothering us, or work, or our child. We really try and focus on what God is doing in our lives. I love those talks. I love to sit and watch the man I love talk about the passion God has given him for college kids. It is so neat to watch his face light up when he talks about his calling, his ideas, and God's plans for our life. It gives me such peace to see direction for our lives. Because it's in those rocky times in life that I cling on to these conversations.

We went to go see "The Happening". Wanna know my thoughts on it? Rent it.
I'm just glad I got to spend the evening interlocking fingers and gazing dreamily into my hubby's eyes. Gosh I love this man.

I miss C. R. Gibbs. Mb and I have a few date nights there! I'm so glad to hear that you guys are still hopelessly in love with each other! :) I wonder if my church needs a college/worship pastor...hmmm...know anyone who would be good at that. I'll pray my church realizes the need :)

I love your date nights because they are MY date nights with Elijah. Anytime you need another one, you know who to call. :)

Hmmm, I was wondering about the Happening. I will take your advice and rent it. Especially since I have about 3 other movies I want to see in theaters and probably won't even get to see those!
